  • Risk Management: Obtaining E&O Insurance is an important part of a comprehensive risk management strategy for architects. It helps protect their professional reputation, financial stability, and provides peace of mind.

Plan Stamping Policy

Plan Stamp Policy

This document outlines the policies and procedures for Senior Engineers who are responsible for stamping building plans at Architect United. All Engineers must adhere to these guidelines when approving, stamping, or rejecting any building plan.

Approval Process

In order to approve a building plan submitted for review, Senior Engineers must adhere to the following requirements:

  1. The building plan meets all applicable local, state, and federal laws

  2. All relevant safety measures have been adhered to

  3. The building plan is structurally sound and safe for residents

  4. The completed project will be within the approved budget

  5. All necessary documentation, such as permits and warranties, is included with the submission.

If any of the above requirements are not met, the Senior Engineer must reject the building plan and provide detailed feedback for how to improve it and make it compliant with all regulations.

Stamp Placement

Senior Engineers are also responsible for stamping approved building plans. Stamps must be placed in the designated area of the plan and should include:

  • A signature from the approving Senior Engineer

  • The date and time of approval

  • Senior Engineer Seal

  • Any additional documentation required by local, state, or federal regulations.

Transaction Insurance

Transaction insurance, also known as transactional risk insurance, is a type of insurance that provides coverage and protection against losses arising from transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, or other business deals. It helps mitigate risks associated with these transactions by offering financial coverage for potential breaches of representations and warranties made by the seller.

  • Transaction insurance can be beneficial for both buyers and sellers involved in business transactions.

  • It helps protect against financial loss resulting from a breach of representations and warranties by the seller.

  • Transaction insurance facilitates smoother and more secure transactions by enhancing bids, expediting closings, and easing syndications and offerings.

  • It is commonly used in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals to mitigate deal risks.

Payment Terms

At Architect United, we value the trust you place in us to bring your architectural vision to life. To ensure the smooth progress and timely delivery of your plans, we employ an automatic payment system.

This method allows us to focus on delivering high-quality work within the promised timeframe, without any interruptions due to payment delays. We strongly encourage our clients to maintain their auto-pay setup to reap the following benefits:

  1. Efficiency: On-time payments allow us to allocate resources effectively, ensuring your project remains on schedule.

  2. Priority Service: Timely payments convey your commitment to the project, which in turn enables us to prioritize your work.

  3. Cost-Effectiveness: Regular payments help avoid any late fees or additional charges that could accrue due to delayed payments.

Please note, if auto-pay is removed, it may be perceived as an intention not to fulfill your payment obligation. This will result in the immediate cancellation of your building plans in progress. To continue the project, full payment will be required once auto-pay has been removed.

Payment will not be withdrawn before the agreed upon milestone(s) are met. You will be notified 24 - 48 hours before AutoPay occurs. In the event you can not make your payment on-time, simply contact us, we will be sure to help you get back on track.

Failure to satisfy invoices within a period of 14 days including weekends (excluding holidays) could potentially constitute a breach of said contract. In the event of such a breach, it will become necessary for any and all outstanding invoices to be settled in full before we, Architect United, can proceed with the delivery of your building plans.

Architect United holds the authority to impose a lien on the aforementioned property if any invoices remain unpaid. This right will be exercised until such time as all outstanding invoice(s) are settled in full.

However, rest assured that even in such circumstances, we remain committed to fulfilling our obligations towards you. We will continue to honor our responsibility of making any necessary revisions as required by the building department until such time that your building plans are approved.

This disclaimer serves as a reminder of the contractual obligations between us and aims to ensure smooth execution of our services. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this regard.

End of Disclaimer

*Payments are processed when Architect United has complete the agreed upon milestone. The Stamping Phase requires payment processing 3 days prior to Stamping.
